Karşıyaka kıyısında konumlanan proje, biyoçeşitlilikteki azalma riski ve ekolojik sorunlara, Osmanlı’nın son dönemindeki deniz hamamlarını günümüze uyarlayarak yanıt vermektedir. Deniz içerisinde yer alan, ikisi kapalı biri açık olmak üzere üç farklı deniz hamamı, kullanıcıların denizle doğrudan ilişki kurabildiği sosyal ve rekreatif alanlar oluşturmaktadır. Bu yapılardan uzanan iskeleler karada yürüme yollarına dönüşerek kıyıdaki yapıların referans çizgilerini belirlemektedir. Kıyıda konumlanan beş farklı yapı; hamam, spa, sauna ve kafe gibi işlevleri bir araya getirerek insanların sosyalleşebileceği ve vakit geçirebileceği mekanlar sunmaktadır. Tüm yapılar, üzerinde yürünebilen ve deniz manzarasına açılan ortak bir teras çatı altında birleşmektedir. Proje; yeşil çatısı, peyzaj yaklaşımı, malzeme ve cephe kurgusu ile deniz temizliğine katkı sağlayan yapay resifleri sayesinde sürdürülebilir ve çevreci bir yaklaşım benimsemektedir.
Located in the coastal fabric of Karşıyaka, the project addresses the risk of biodiversity loss and contemporary ecological issues through a reinterpretation of late Ottoman sea baths. Three sea baths positioned within the water, two enclosed and one open, create a social and recreational bathing experience directly connected to the sea. Extending from these structures, piers transform into pedestrian paths on land and generate the reference lines shaping the coastal buildings. Along the shoreline, five interconnected structures accommodate functions such as baths, spas, saunas, and cafés, encouraging social interaction and collective leisure. These buildings are unified beneath a continuous accessible roof that functions as a public terrace overlooking the sea. Through its green roof, landscape strategy, material and façade approach, and specially designed artificial reefs supporting marine purification, the project proposes an environmentally conscious and sustainable framework that promotes the continuity of biodiversity.
