İzmir’deki su kirliliğinin en önemli sebeplerinden biri olan Meles Çayı ve onun taşıdığı kirli suyun etkilediği Meles Deltası üzerinde gelişen ekolojik probleme odaklanıyor. Mimari ve peyzajın bütünleştiği doğal arıtma katmanlarıyla kirli suyun yeniden dönüştürülmesi hedefleniyor. Sazlık filtreler, biyolojik havuzlar ve kontrollü su akışlarıyla arıtılan su, süreç sonunda yüzülebilir mekanlara dönüşerek suyun dönüşümünü deneyimsel bir öğeye çeviriyor. Kütlenin suyla farklı katmanlardaki ilişkisi, kullanıcıların suyun hareketi ve arıtılma süreçleriyle doğrudan ilişki kurmasını sağlıyor. Üst kotta devam eden dolaşım rotaları ise deltayı kesintisiz algılayan geçirgen bir mekansal deneyim oluşturuyor. Termal havuzlar, spa ve meditasyon alanlarıyla desteklenen yapı, ekolojik rehabilitasyonu bedensel ve ruhsal arınma deneyimiyle bütünleştiren hibrit bir su yapısı öneriyor.
The project addresses the ecological degradation of Meles Çayı, one of the main contributors to water pollution in İzmir, and the resulting environmental deterioration of the Meles Deltası. It proposes a design strategy where architecture and landscape are integrated through a series of natural water purification layers to transform polluted water. Constructed through reed filters, biological ponds, and controlled water flow systems, the treated water is reintroduced as swimmable environments, turning the process of water purification into an experiential spatial condition. The spatial relationship between the built mass and water at different levels enables users to directly engage with the movement and transformation of water. Circulation routes at the upper level create a continuous spatial experience that allows uninterrupted perception of the delta landscape. Supported by thermal pools, spa, and meditation spaces, the project proposes a hybrid aquatic structure that merges ecological rehabilitation with bodily and mental purification experiences.
