HELIX 2066: Where Memory and Art Intertwine

2066'da sanat artık bir tercih değil, hayatta kalmanın kendisidir. Savaş sonrası düzenin tek geçer ekonomik ve kültürel birimi haline gelen sanat, yeni bir yerleşim ve üretim mantığını da beraberinde getirir. Urla Karantina Adası, "Dünya Kültür ve Sanat Birliği" (WUCA) tarafından bu mantığın somutlaştığı bir alan olarak seçilir. Adanın tarihi müzesi özgün yapısıyla korunurken yanına yükselen yeni müze binası teknolojiyi sergilemenin merkezine taşır; biri geçmişi belgeler, diğeri onu yeniden canlandırır. Teknoloji entegreli sürükleyici deneyimler aracılığıyla ziyaretçiler tarihi salt izlemek yerine beden ve duyularıyla içinden geçer. Sanat, kültür ve teknolojiyi bir arada işleyen üretim stüdyoları adayı aktif bir yaratım merkezine dönüştürürken, sanatçılar ve kültür gezginleri için tasarlanan geçici konaklama alanları adayı bir yerleşme ve üretme mekânına taşır. Sarmal tasarım; geçmişi, sanatı ve teknolojiyi aynı döngünün farklı katmanları olarak bir arada tutar.
In a world reshaped by war, art has become both the foundation and the engine of collective existence. Karantina Island is reimagined by the "World Union of Culture and Art" (WUCA) as a platform where history and the future are processed simultaneously. The island's historic museum is preserved in its original form, while a newly constructed museum building places technology at the center of exhibition. The two structures complete one another: one documents the past, the other brings it back to life. Through immersive experiences, visitors move through history bodily and sensorially rather than merely observing it. Production studios merging art, culture, and technology shift the island into an active center of creation, while temporary residencies for artists and cultural travelers transform it into a place of dwelling and making. The helical design holds past, art, and technology together as layers of the same continuous spiral.
