Behind the luminous surface of the fashion industry lies the residue of invisible labor and systematic trauma. Something Stirring in My Bones serves as a manifesto, centering on the silenced rights of workers and the exploited human force hidden behind glamorous facades. The evocative, body-deforming aesthetics of Butoh and Louise Bourgeois’s sculptures —which transmute trauma into matter— are reinterpreted here through distorted silhouettes that mirror the industry's human and ecological devastation. The Cordyceps fungus acts as the core metaphor; chosen for its parasitic nature of inhabiting and ultimately hollowing out its host, it symbolizes how the fashion industry treats its laborers as mere vessels, draining their identity and vitality. This biological takeover is woven into skeletal embroidery motifs, highlighting the bone-deep impact of fashion on both our planet and the human psyche. In defiance of this destructive cycle, the collection champions Slow Fashion, striving to reclaim the sanctity of labor and the dignity of craftsmanship.
Moda endüstrisinin ışıltılı yüzeyi, derinlerinde görünmez bir emeğin ve sistematik bir travmanın izlerini taşır. Something Stirring in My Bones, bu parlak vitrinlerin ardında susturulan işçi haklarını ve sömürülen insan gücünü odağına alan bir manifesto niteliğindedir.
