Disruptive is a narrative that reflects the traces that lifelong wounds leave on the self, and the individual’s attempt to reconstruct identity through these fractures. It posits that healing is not a silent repair, but rather a radical transformation emerging from rupture itself. The collection draws its visual language from the aesthetic of bodily deformation in Butoh dance, while its conceptual depth stems from the existential voids found in Anish Kapoor’s works. Silhouettes reflecting inner fractures render the void created by trauma visible, framing wounds not as flaws to be concealed but as thresholds through which the self transforms and gains resilience. The cyclical process of shedding skin serves as the collection’s central metaphor for this existential repair, symbolizing rebirth. The experimental leathers developed through layering techniques emphasize the patient nature of healing, embodying the philosophy of Slow Fashion. Disruptive embodies the process of inner self-repair through the theme of ‘transformation through healing.’
Disruptive hayat boyunca taşınan yaraların benlikteki izlerini ve kişinin bu kırılmalar içinden geçerek kendini yeniden kurma çabasını yansıtır. İyileşmenin sessiz bir onarım değil, o kırılmalardan doğan radikal bir dönüşüm olduğunu öne sürer. Koleksiyon , görsel dilini Butoh dansının bedensel deformasyon estetiğinden; kavramsal derinliğini ise Anish Kapoor’un eserlerindeki varoluşsal boşluklardan alır. İçsel kırılmaları yansıtan silüetler, travmanın yarattığı boşluğu görünür kılarken; yaraları kusurdan çok, dönüşen ve direnç kazanan benliğin eşikleri olarak ele alır.
