SOUND OF NOSTALGIA

This project presents a future hotel design based on human emotional needs 50 years from now. As technology becomes more dominant in daily life, people may feel more disconnected and start looking for spaces that remind them of the past. The main concept of this project is nostalgia, created through a combination of sound, visuals, and scent.
The hotel is not only a place to stay but also an emotional space where users can reconnect with their memories and feelings. Elements like familiar sounds, warm lighting, and nostalgic materials are used to create a comfortable and meaningful atmosphere. The aim is to reduce loneliness and help people feel a sense of belonging again. By focusing on emotional well-being instead of only physical comfort, this project offers a new vision for hospitality design.
Bu proje, 50 yıl sonrasında insanların duygusal ihtiyaçlarına göre şekillenen spekülatif bir otel tasarımını ele almaktadır. Teknolojinin hayatın merkezine yerleşmesiyle birlikte, bireylerin geçmişle ve duygusal kimlikleriyle yeniden bağ kurma ihtiyacı artacaktır. Bu doğrultuda proje; “nostalji” kavramını ses, görüntü ve koku gibi çok duyulu deneyimler üzerinden işlemektedir. Tasarlanan otel, yalnızca bir konaklama birimi değil, aynı zamanda duygusal bir sığınak olarak kurgulanmıştır. Kullanıcıların tanıdık hisler ve kolektif anılarla yeniden bağ kurması hedeflenmiştir. Ortam sesleri, sıcak ışık kullanımı ve nostaljik malzemelerle desteklenen mekanlar; yalnızlık hissini azaltmayı ve aidiyet duygusunu güçlendirmeyi amaçlar. Bu proje, konaklama tasarımında fiziksel konforun ötesine geçerek duygusal esenliği merkeze alan yeni bir yaklaşım sunmaktadır.
