What Holds Me

What Holds Me is a short film that begins with a young man walking along the beach, unknowingly trapping himself inside a circle he draws in the sand. Over time, this circle merges with the sea and the shore, becoming a symbol of the blurring line between perception and reality, inner conflict, and the search for freedom. The film invites the audience to reflect on these themes and to question the mental boundaries constructed by the mind. However, this reflection offers no easy answers; the answers take shape within each viewer’s own inner world.
What Holds Me, genç bir adamın sahilde yürürken farkında olmadan kuma çizdiği bir dairenin içine hapsolmasıyla başlayan bir kısa filmdir. Zamanla bu daire, deniz ve kıyıyla birleşerek, algı ile gerçeklik arasındaki belirsizliğin, içsel çatışmaların ve özgürlük arayışının simgesine dönüşür. Film izleyiciyi bu kavramlar üzerinde düşünmeye, zihnin yarattığı engelleri sorgulamaya çağırır. Fakat bu sorgulama kolay cevaplar vermez, cevaplar izleyicinin kendi iç dünyasında şekillenir.
