On Hold is a site-specific project that explores the experience of waiting in İzmir Bus Terminal. The project focuses on waiting as an everyday but emotionally layered experience that changes depending on time, space, and individual situations. The photographs were taken at different times of the day, including morning, afternoon, evening, and night, in order to document changing behaviors and atmospheres within the terminal. Instead of focusing on a single narrative, the project presents different forms of waiting such as sitting, standing, sleeping, waiting in crowds, or waiting alone. The accordion book format reflects the continuous and repetitive nature of waiting by creating an uninterrupted visual flow. The project aims to make the viewer a part of the waiting experience.
On Hold, İzmir Otogarı’ndaki bekleme deneyimini inceleyen mekâna özgü bir projedir. Proje, beklemeyi zamana, mekâna ve bireysel durumlara göre değişen; gündelik ama duygusal katmanlar içeren bir deneyim olarak ele alır. Fotoğraflar sabah, öğle, akşam ve gece olmak üzere günün farklı saatlerinde çekilerek otogardaki değişen davranışlar ve atmosfer belgelenmiştir. Proje tek bir anlatıya odaklanmak yerine oturma, ayakta bekleme, uyuma, kalabalıkta ya da yalnız bekleme gibi farklı bekleme biçimlerini bir araya getirir. Akordeon kitap formatı, beklemenin sürekli ve tekrarlayan yapısını kesintisiz bir görsel akış oluşturarak yansıtır. Proje, izleyiciyi bekleme deneyiminin bir parçası haline getirmeyi amaçlar.
