Sectional Echoes: A Multi-Layered Conservatory Complex

This project is an educational and performance center that brings together the conservatory departments in İzmir. The structure detaches from its physical context to generate a new cultural one, encompassing a 500-seat, acoustically optimized opera hall, individual practice studios, rehearsal spaces, and multifunctional open and enclosed areas. The architectural form of the building is derived from a collage of sections of renowned opera houses around the world. This formal strategy enables the performance space to be perceived as a universal stage. Through its programmatic density, institutional collaborations, and temporally adaptable usage scenarios, the project generates spatial bigness. By engaging with the site's sloped terrain, the design integrates topography into the architecture and establishes a new cultural landmark within the urban fabric.
Bu proje, İzmir’deki konservatuvar bölümlerini bir araya getiren bir eğitim ve performans merkezidir. Yapı, fiziksel bağlamından koparak yeni bir kültürel bağlam üretir; 500 kişilik, akustik olarak optimize edilmiş bir opera salonu, bireysel çalışma stüdyoları, prova alanları ve çok işlevli açık/kapalı mekânları kapsar. Yapının mimari formu, dünyaca ünlü opera salonlarının kesitlerinden oluşan bir kolajdan türetilmiştir. Bu biçimsel strateji, performans mekânının evrensel bir sahne olarak algılanmasını sağlar. Programatik yoğunluğu, kurumsal iş birlikleri ve zamana uyarlanabilir kullanım senaryoları sayesinde proje, mekânsal bir büyüklük üretir. Eğimli araziyle kurduğu ilişki sayesinde topografyayı mimariye entegre eder ve kentsel doku içinde yeni bir kültürel odak noktası oluşturur.
